Jeralee Johnson

Geraldine (Jeralee) Johnson is an oboist based in Sandy, Utah. She performs regularly with the Orchestra at Temple Square, including their world tour stops in the Philippines, Peru, and Argentina.  She has appeared with other local ensembles such as Ballet West, Utah Metropolitan Ballet, and Chamber Orchestra Ogden. Previously, she performed throughout the Boston area, where she was a member of the Claflin Hill Symphony Orchestra and its resident chamber ensembles.

Jeralee holds a Master of Music in Oboe Performance from The Boston Conservatory and a Bachelor of Music from Brigham Young University, where she studied under Robert Sheena and Dr. Geralyn Giovannetti. She has performed in masterclasses with renowned artists such as John Ferrillo, Elaine Douvas, and John Mack, and premiered new solo works by composers Joseph Sowa and Alyssa Morris. Her distinctive artistry and commitment to education have made her both a valued performer and an influential private teacher in Utah’s musical community.
